Countries are bracing to combat the COVID-19 pandemic by going into indefinite lock down, implying that most of the citizens are working from their home to control the spread of the coronavirus. Albeit, this change in work culture could benefit the spread of coronavirus, paradoxically it has increased the number of cyberattacks that are exploiting people’s anxiety about the pandemic.
European Union Agency for Cybesecurity (ENISA) and the Nation Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) have identified a number of coronavirus clouting phishing scams, malicious and dubious websites, coronavirus ransomware affecting industries, including the healthcare organizations that are governing the COVID-19 victims.
