Microsoft Teams latest update has caused its software to prompt a ‘Select a Software’ bug that is hindering user’s mundane activities. The issue was seen from today and users are shown us-prod.asyncgw.teams.microsoft.com while they start using the application.
After multiple reports and cases, Microsoft has acknowledged the issue and is now tracking the bug stating a recent update has been the problem behind this unusual behavior of the app.
As per Microsoft’s advisory statement ‘”We’ve determined a recent deployment, designed to improve service performance, is inadvertently causing impact. We’re reverting the update while we monitor the affected environment to validate that it resolves the issue,” It also mentioned that issue persists only for the North American Users, unfortunately Microsoft Team users in Costa Rica, EU, APAC, Brazil and EMEA are also experiencing the bug as we write this blog.
Understanding how this is causing unnecessary havoc to the end-users, Microsoft Teams has rolled back the update, so the end users can just restart the application to fix the bug.
We’ll roll out further updates on this bug as and when we hear from Microsoft.Subscribe to our newsletter for daily alerts on cyber events, you can also follow us on Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, Twitter and Reddit.
